Gotta love the whole Men Get Raped Too™ spiel. Ever seen a 12 year-old boy being accused of seducing the pedophile(s) that raped him? Yeah, me…
Out of all these whoneedsfeminism posts, this one actually made me angry.
Racism is a two way street.
Now don’t you ever try to tell me there is no such thing as racism against white people. And don’t you dare fucking tell me it’s ‘reverse’ racism either.
No one, not matter their race, religion, sexuality, gender identification or physical and/or mental capabilities or appearance should have to commit suicide over shit like being bullied. NO BODY! Especially a fucking 9 year old child!
This. Hopefully everyone will realize now.
If you’re racist against someone, you’re disgusting. No matter your skin color, or theirs. It’s hurtful, and NO ONE deserves it. If you don’t want it done to you, don’t do it to someone else just because you’ve given yourself false justification to.
Listen you disgusting piece of shit. You are a pile of human refuse. Do you dare take this child’s death and use it to scapegoat race relations you ignorant fuck. You don’t give a damn about the kid. You are just using this tragedy to push an agenda.
The fact of the matter is that people especially White people are very complacent about race relation issues and simply do not care about racism when it comes to harassment. Otherwise bullying infatives would be focused on race. Workshops would be set up to actually talk about race and how it effects people’s live but it isn’t done. In the UK and the USA.
People like you make me fucking sick. Leaching on to a child’s death to say me me me. Go burn in hell.
-uses child to scapegoat white supremacy
-fails to see that the level of attention gathered for this child reflects the privilege of being more cherished by society
-fails to understand how this is prejudice and bullying together, not fucking systematic racism.
IT WAS WHITE SUPREMACY THAT LED THOSE LITTLE CHILDREN TO HAVE SUCH SENTIMENTS IN THE FIRST PLACE. They didn’t fall out of a vacuum, they didn’t appear out of thin air, they were rooted in what actual racism is, what it’s done, and how it sows seeds of violence and prejudice.
YOU SHOULD BE MAD AT WHITE SUPREMACY, NOT POC. I will say it every time.
Oh my god.
Somehow, a white person being killed by a gang of non-white people, specifically because of his race, is a victim of white supremacy.
Nope, not gonna buy it.
That moment when evolutia calls other people disgusting and not the person who told people on this post to “spare their white tears” about a child killing himself. That moment when pointing out that this was the product of racism, which SJWs deny, is no different to pointing out the problems of racism when, say, an innocent PoC is shot to death by the police. That moment when, just after evolutia rails on people for supposedly leeching onto a child’s death to promote their agenda, a SJW leeches onto the post to promote their agenda, in a reply to that post. That moment when the SJW claims it’s not systemic racism in that post, as if this child is the only white child bullied for his race.
It’s quite a fucking moment.
P.S. “They didn’t fall out of a vacuum, they didn’t appear out of thin air”
So who was racist to white people in the first place to make them racist? Or could it be, just maybe, it’s sad, regrettable human nature?
tw: transmisogyny; additionally, implied heterosexist encounter in OP’s story
So I went to one of those places where they take your picture and photoshop it into a poster and I picked the Twilight poster. They asked if I wanted to be Edward. I said no.
Are most of the 35,000 people reblogging this and LOL-ing doing so because the expression is somewhat silly, or because of transmisogynistic humor thanks to “Bella’s” hints of facial hair?
… Yeah, I’m sadly leaning towards that second one.
I defer fully to trans* women on this, because I definitely could be wrong, but based on what I’ve read of commentary on other face-swapping stuff, I’m pretty sure that for people who aren’t trans* women and/or trans* people who were coercively designated MAB, laughing at this kind of stuff is transmisogynistic.
Oh damn, my b. I apologize. I was LOL’ing at the facial expression. Didn’t even realize that the story was meant to imply that the OP was/might have been misgendgered or was trying to get an LOL out of a “genderswap”. Should’ve made the connection when they mentioned the person asking them if they want to be Edward.
Will defs. look closer at that next time and also read some of the notes/check the OPs blog. Again, apologies to anyone affected!
I’M LAUGHING SO FUCKING HARD OH MY GOD
LAUGHING BECAUSE THESE OVERLY ASSUMPTIOUS DOUCHEBAGS THINK MARK WAS AN OPPRESSED TRANS* FEMALE
LAUGHING BECAUSE MARK LITERALLY DID THIS TO MAKE AN ASS OUT OF HIMSELF AND IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM
L A U G H I N G
Good job, everybody.
Before I even start I want to say that (and I think it’s a shame I even need to qualify this) I’m deeply personally invested in social justice issues. I don’t consider myself a social justice activist (because I don’t do any activism) but I align myself with the cause, do my reading and I like to keep my mind open.
With that said: I think this is ridiculous. Here we find someone excusing blanketing statements of hate. Not only that, but this person is also shaming anyone who takes issue with said expression of hate. I had to put my phone down after reading this post because I was so stunned. To put it simply: what the fuck, tumblr.
I’m gay. I’ve had some straight people say mean things to me. I do not hate straight people. As such, I would never say “I hate straight people” because it doesn’t fucking make any sense for me to say that (and also because I have quite a few straight friends and being mean to your friends is shitty). Unless, like a magician with misdirection, what I really meant was “I hate that being gay is considered abnormal and unnatural by some.” But then, why wouldn’t I just say that?
What this is, is excuses. You can be the biggest douche you want to be, because as long as you’re not straight, or not a cis male, or not white, you’re completely incapable of really offending someone. Yours, in a discourse on social justice, are the only feelings that matter. Fuck everyone else. And if they take offence, you should tell them why they are wrong to be offended.
Suddenly, the oppressed adopt the methods, false logic and superiority of the oppressors.
Nobody wins when it comes to shit like this. The entire social justice cause gets painted with the “crazy” brush, and all the homophobes and misogynists and racists get more fuel for their fires and we don’t go anywhere as a culture.
I screenshotted this from lnfamy because she’s been one of my favourite bloggers for quite a few years now and I was a bit surprised to see this post reblogged by her. If you read this, I hope you don’t take anything I’ve said the wrong way. To me you’re an inspiration, as a young person and a tumblr user. If we can have a discussion on this I’d be happy (I posted this so I wouldn’t add another message to your likely full inbox).
I want to die.
Oh my fucking god how are these people alive
All white people who want equality between the races, please show up at my house at 9AM tomorrow to report for 400 years of slavery. Wear something comfortable you don’t mind getting dirty.
#that’s equal right? #i mean #yall got slaves for awhile #so now we get them
idk if you’re insinuating that all white people have history of slave ownership or just being an absolute moron
This just in, I found an argument dumber than “women hit men so men should hit women”
I MADE A CARTOON JUST FOR YOU, TUMBLR!
“django is racist!!! django uses the n word too much!! django-“
Django is a movie Quentin Tarantino stans watch! It’s bullshit and you ignoring that is your privilege binding you.
oh god no
if you’re not black you don’t get to decide if or if isn’t racist…
and you certainly shouldn’t be dismissing criticisms of it just because you enjoy it
i’m all for white people not using that word, because they/we shouldn’t
because of how it was used
in the South
some centuries ago in the past, when you know, slavery was around
when Django Unchained was set
>and you certainly shouldn’t be dismissing criticisms of it just because you enjoy it
we can dismiss them if they’re ridiculous criticisms. just because you have a criticism about the movie doesn’t make it valid
what the hell is a quentin tarantino stan?
“stans” is just huge fans
theartundermymattress and hidinginthesleevesofmycoat both are not black
OF COURSE THEY WOULDN’T BE.
Radical feminism needs to examine heterosexuality the same way we do BDSM. Most radfems seem to agree that there can be no true consent in BDSM because of our patriarchal culture informing all of our decisions and preferences. BDSM is a hyper-aggressive sexually hierarchal microcosm of heterosexuality.
But we cannot stop the critical thinking there. It’s imperative that we view heterosexuality in similar terms. Heterosexuality and by proxy intercourse is harmful to women for a multitude of reasons, and learning that it is unavoidable is extremely harmful to girl children.
For those who are heterosexual and choose to be with men, please do think this action is feminist. It’s not. I’m of the mind that any sexual interaction with the male sex class is implicit encouragement for the continued oppression of women. This is radical, I’m aware. But women as a class cannot consent under a patriarchy. Individually, women can only make informed consent, which is like saying, ‘I know he could beat me, rape me, or kill me, and statistically speaking it’s likely he’ll do one of the three, but I want to be with him anyway.’ That’s fine for you. It’s not fine for everyone else. It’s not fine for our next generation of girls who need to see women standing alone and women standing with women.
Heterosexuality is not feminist. It’s a method of keeping women unnecessarily bound to men to provide sex, free labour, and children to be indoctrinated into more of the same.
